February 4th Questions

Two questions: 1. We have not had a sci-fi one shot since Quantum Shadows in 2020. Are you working on any new sci-fi novels? 2. I seem to recall from an interview that before you published any of your sci-fi short stories, you had published some of your poetry. Can you tell me where you poetry was published?

At present, I’m not working on any SF novels, partly because I haven’t had any good ideas that I found personably workable and partly because my publisher isn’t all that enthused about singleton SF novels (at least from me). My poetry was published in VERY small magazines that may not even exist today, including Jean’s Journal, Konglomerati, The Red Balloon, Poetry Today, and the Fountain Valley Literary Review, all in issues published before 1979.

Hi,I wanted to add to the question of more SCiFi novels. I read all your work, just brilliant. Your publisher needs to know we want more SCifi work from you. They are trully excellant, The ethos effect my favourite novel of yours- so far! Please keep writing as you obviously enjoy it so much. Many Thanks for what you have done for a darn good set of books to read and reread.
PS I would love to hear or see any interviews with you about your writing ideas and general philosophy on life, are there any links to such available?

    1. I’ve been interviewed a number of times over the years, but I have to confess that I’ve never kept track of those interviews. There’s a conversation between me and Tom Doherty on Reactor from several years back and a fairly long interview in Clarksworld that’s available online.

It may be a little late in life but could you please consider running against Trump next time. The world needs a balanced person in charge of the USA.

Following on from the question about Sci-Fi novels, I would like to know if you are considering returning to the world of the Imager Portfolio? I was hoping for a return to the days of Rholan.

    1. At present, I have no plans to revisit the Imager Portfolio, although I have to admit that, at one time, I was considering a book set in the time of Rholan.

      1. Dawn Howe says:

Ah well, one can still hope. I am just rereading the series about Quaeryt and had forgotten how much I enjoyed them and also how they make you think after reading one of Quaeryt’s homilies
